Job Overview
This position requires a person to be reliable, honest, dedicated, and compassionate regarding providing care to individuals who reside in a licensed adult foster care setting. You will be required to provide hands on personal care and community living support services. Persons who reside in this setting have been diagnosed with mental and or physical impairments. You will be responsible for assisting with bathing, grooming, toileting, medication management, transferring, meal prep, laundry, and all other needs identified in resident's individualized plan of service.
As a direct care worker, you are required to demonstrate a professional demeanor, have a positive attitude, and display qualities of a team player. You must also possess effective verbal and written skills.
Pre-Requisites
- Highly motivated
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- 3 years of experience working in a group home setting
- Reliable transportation to the work site
- Direct Care Worker Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good references from previous employment
- Must be prepared to complete all required training within 30 days of hire
